Apple iPad, one of the latest product from Apple Inc.exciting all people around the world for its existence. Apple itself introduce its Macintosh microcomputer and operating system called Mac OS and has become famous for the users. It is powerful,easy to conduct as it is popular with professional graphic designers and home users. In April 2010,Apple had launched its new product,a tablet PC,called iPad an it is particularly marketed as a platform for the use of audio and visual media such as books, periodicals, movies, music, and games, as well as web content. Generally speaking,i am the lucky one if i get this iPad!This product is very interesting as its design is quite chill for teenagers like me and the specifications is the best as tablet PC..:)



Apple had launced two model of iPad that are Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+3G.At about 700 grams, its size and weight are between most contemporary smartphones and laptop computers. Apple sold 3 million iPads in the first 80 days after its April 2010 release.The iPad runs the same operating system as the previously introduced iPod Touch and iPhone. However until fall 2010 it runs a slightly older version than the iPhone. It can run its own specific applications as well as those developed originally for the iPhone. Without modification, it will only run programs approved by Apple and distributed via its online store.

Like iPhone and iPod Touch, the iPad is controlled by a multitouch display sensitive to up to eleven fingers — a break from most previous tablet computers, which used a pressure-triggered stylus. The iPad uses Wi-Fi or a 3G mobile data connection to browse the Internet, load and stream media, and install software. A USB cable is required to sync the iPad with iTunes on a personal computer, by which the device is managed.

SCREEN AND OUTPUT

The iPad's touchscreen display is a 25 cm (9.7 in) liquid crystal display (1024 × 768 pixels) with fingerprint-resistant and scratch-resistant glass it is designed to be controlled by bare fingers.iPad is built-in applications support screen rotation in all four orientations (the three aforementioned ones along with upside-down), meaning that the device has no intrinsic "native" orientation; only the position of the home button changes.

The iPad has a switch to lock out this screen rotation function (reportedly to prevent unintended rotation when the user is lying down). There are a total of four physical switches, including a home button below the display that returns the user to the main menu, and three plastic physical switches on the sides: wake/sleep and volume up/down, along with the screen rotation lock.

CONNECTIVITY

It use Wi-Fi network trilateration from Skyhook Wireless to provide location information to applications and the 3G model contains A-GPS to allow its position to be calculated with GPS or relative to nearby cellphone towers.

AUDIO AND OUTPUT

It has two internal speakers that push mono sound through two small sealed channels to the three audio ports carved into the bottom-right of the unit. A volume switch is on the right side of the unit.
It is also contains a microphone that can be used for voice recording.

STORAGE AND SIM

The iPad was released with three options for internal storage size that are 16, 32, or 64 GB flash drive. All data is stored on the flash drive and there is no option to expand storage.
The side of the Wi-Fi + 3G model has a micro-SIM slot (not mini-SIM). Unlike the iPhone, which is usually sold locked to specific carriers, the 3G iPad is sold unlocked and can be used with any compatible GSM carrier.

  It is very light!!Seriously!!... The screen is 9.7 inches measured diagonally. So overall, it’s slightly smaller than a magazine. At just 1.5 pounds and 0.5 inch thin,i can use it anywhere. And a slight curve to the back makes it easy to pick up and comfortable to hold.

• Up to 10 Hours of Battery Life

  To maximize battery life, Apple engineers took the same lithium-polymer battery technology they developed for Mac notebook computers and applied it to the iPad. As a result, i can use iPad for up to 10 hours while surfing the web on Wi-Fi especially Facebook and Twitter, watching videos, or listening to music. While surfing the web on a 3G data network, i can get up to 9 hours of battery life.

• Wireless

  It automatically locates available Wi-Fi networks, which mean i can join with a few taps. iPad also comes with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, letting me connect to devices like wireless headphones or the Apple Wireless Keyboard.

• 3G

  iPad is also available in a 3G model with superfast data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps.³ So if i am traveling or i happen to be somewhere without a Wi-Fi network, i can still get a fast connection for surfing the web, downloading email, or getting directions.

• Audio

  The powerful built-in speaker produces rich, full sound perfect for watching a movie or listening to music. iPad also comes with a headphone jack and a built-in microphone. That's mean i will not bring my mp3 players after this!just enough with iPad!:)
  

• Mail

  There’s nothing like the Mail app on iPad. With a split-screen view and expansive onscreen keyboard, it lets me see and touch my email in ways i never could before..

• Photos

  A vivid LED-backlit IPS display makes viewing photos on iPad extraordinary. Open albums with a tap. Flip through my pictures one by one. Or play a slideshow and share my photos with others...

• Videos

  The 9.7-inch high-resolution screen makes iPad perfect for watching HD movies, TV shows, podcasts, music videos, and more..Maybe for playing games also!!huhu

  ~As a conclusion,Mac Inc. should be proud for their great product for this time as this product already sold for about 3 million units(as of June 2010,just 2 month after the releasing). Hopefully,Apple will give impetus in innovation of development of tablet PC and technologies as well.
